Just a quick one guys, I will be buying a Blu-Ray player due to the great 3D package. But will I be able to watch all the special features on a normal Blu Ray player. I cant afford a 3D player just yet but want that edition due to the features?

I take it the 3D disc is just the film and all other content will be standard Blu Ray?

Please Help.

gedders79: I just pre-ordered the BD3D (3 Disc edition) too, so, ther will be 3 discs in this edition.

Disc One: the movie+extras (2D)
Disc Two: only the movie in 3D
Disc Three: The other extras in 2D of course.

So, just the 2nd disc require 3D TV and 3D Blu-Ray player, and you can able to watch all the extras, because thats in 2D.

Interesting Concept Work.

The one image reminds me of the Mural, this one.



While not the same when i see the below image i can make certain connections.



Also the Host Buster has elements of the Original Chest Buster, Shaws Baby and the Hammerpedes.

It does seem like the concept work especially before the script was re-done was very similar to the things we see in Alien and concepts from Star Beast. There appears to be various mutations and hybrids and it just goes to show that the Bio Weapons the Engineers work on have a varied look in the Conceptual work.

Also some of the concepts for the Engineers appear to be like the Space Jockey suits in Alien.

That would have been ACE.

But, no, PG-13 was what we got.

Absolutely love how the Weyland logo in one or practically all of those variations looks like one of the logograms (hieroglyphs) in the Engineers' language.

It's similar to a mixture of a cuneiform and an egyptian demotic symbol that carries a specific idea associated with power coming from above.

And we already had the winged globe symbol mixed in with the Weyland-Yutani logo so it's very fitting that they played around with this idea.

But was that draft not that he got Face Hugged and then chest busted in a scene with Shaw?

But that does not look like a traditional chest buster and it has more tentacles than even the Trilobite. Maybe they was going for a Chest Buster and Xeno more like the Star Beasts Script with his many legs and tentacles.

the chest tentacle concept looks awesome, but i am glad i didnt have to see holloway's wingwang.
